Drive in racking is mainly used for storing high quantities of identical goods, achieving a greater storage density than is possible using conventional XL adjustable pallet racking. The FILO principle does limit stock selectivity which is why Drive-in is recommended for loads that are delivered and despatched in batches. Pallets are stored on runners as opposed to beams. These runners run the depth of the racking and allow forklift trucks to drive into the system to deposit and retrieve pallets.
